Fun in Rock Bottom!!!

So as my last post said last night was our last night of summer. We officially started school today. So last night we wanted to do something fun and exciting and then we realized we were in Rock Springs WY. So we started off by going to the volleyball game and watching some paint dry... The other team was terrible... anyways so after that we came back to our room and was waiting for our friends Michelle Carver to get done with basketball practice. So we decided that we would go drive around to find something to do. As we were driving down the street, we saw wal mart and decided what a better place to go than wal mart to have fun right?
So we head to the clothes section and this is what we found.

Good thing we brought our camera cuz it was a great time.
Then we wanted a little more excitment so we decided to make mentos/coke bombs. None of us had done them before but we took a shot at it. It was fun but we saved one bottle of coke and some mentos to figure out how to make them really blow up. So I will update you all when we figure that one out!

Then we just came back to our game and played a mean game of egyptian rat slap...its a card game by the way. And that was how we spent our last night of summer... We were pretty impressed with ourselves for finding such fun in Podunck WY lol!!

Oh man.. you gals are having fun!! I can't say I have ever built a Coke/Mentos bomb either - let me know when you find the perfect recipe, Cub Scouts over here will love it & so will my boys + I will look like a cool mom! (right!)! I am shocked that WWCC Security wasn't hot on your trail!! Maybe they have lightened up over the years!! :)

Anyway - I guess RS as a splash park too somewhere out past Blairtown... but ours is quite fun & people of all ages play here!! If you come to GR - take the first exit & come into town - take the right at the light to go up & over the overpass. Then at the end of the bridge will be another light - go straight through that one & then take the first right after you have passed Mc D's... then follow that road straight until it hits a dead end & the splash park is on the other side of the playground. It is really fun!

Another fun thing to do - especially as college kids is to come & play in the rapids on the green river... everyone must have a life jacket!! Very fun.

At that dead end I was telling you about - turn left & go over the bridge to a big parking lot. Then if you park on the right & take the walking path.. you will find places along the river they have built rapids & it is fun to float or go down & around & up & down, have a picnic or buy Mc D's before & just go hang out on the rocky patio... :)

I know it is a dreadful place at times.. but there are a few fun things to do here & there too! Have fun!

Tiff,
Leave it to you to make "bombs" on your first day of school. Leave your fire arms home when you come to visit me in Cheyenne. Remember you are almost to Cheyenne when you are in R.S. Have fun at school and try to be good:)
