Ok so I have been really bad at keeping this darn thing updated because I dunno if anyone really looks at it or not but I just had to post a little spiritual thought for the day because church today was AMAZING!! I just love going to church down here in my new ward in Provo because the spirit is so strong every week and there are so many good people who make me want to do better!! Well anyways to start off testimony meeting was great! There were some very powerful testimonies shared and there was one in particular that struck me (made me cry)! This girl in my ward is a convert and she is from a Jehovah witness family and when she made the decision to be baptized her family pretty much disowned her and doesnt talk to her anymore. So today she was saying how she was had been having a hard past few weeks and how all she wanted was just to feel the love and comfort from her family because she missed it so much and she doesn't have that anymore and she just kepting praying to Heavenly Father to give her comfort and strength that she needed and she said that her Dad called her the other night just to tell her he loved her!! I was bawling because it was such a testimony builder to me because I can't even imagine having to choose between the true gospel and my family! I have been so blessed with the family I have and the strong relationship that we have with each other in my immediate family and also my extended family! I love them so much and I felt like I take that relationship for granted after hearing this young sister talk about how she lost hers!!
this is my favorite picture of Christ! I love it!!
Also in Relief Society we talked about Christ and knowing that he truely lives. Our opening Hymn was #136 I Know That My Redeemer Lives, and I felt the spirit so strong as I sang that song and it just testified and reassured me that Christ does live and he knows and loves us and he is there to comfort us when we are in need and he will strengthen us and lift us when we need it most! I challenge everyone to listen to the lyrics of that song and really come to know that He does live! And then our lesson was composed of talks from conference where Apostles and leaders of the church talked about Christ and his life and their testimonies of Christ! To hear and read the Prophets and Apostles bear witness of Christ is so powerful! They are his mouthpiece on earth today!
So I just wanted to share this with everyone and share my testimony about Chrsit and that I KNOW that he lives. That came to this earth with a divine mission and he lived a perfect life for us to follow. He suffered for our sins, sorrows, pains, and heartaches in the Garden on Gethsemane and he sacrificed his life and overcame death so that we too can be resurrected one day to live with our Father in Heaven for Eternity! The atonement is not only for us to repent of our sins but it is there to help us through our hard times and give us the comfort and strength that we need to overcome the trials and adversity that we face! He loves us and cares for us and wants us to be happy in this life. He is there for us to talk to and to go to when we are in need of comfort! It is through him that we receive true comfort and love. He wants to talk to us and to hear from us we just have to do the simple act and fall on our knees each day and pray to him and he will be there for us!! I know if we come to him with questions or concerns that he will answer them in his due time! I challenge anyone of you out there that if you are looking for something more in your life or if you are questioning what you believe or you just need to be reminded that you do know that its true, that if you take Moroni's promise in Moroni 10:3-5, and really pray with sincerity that he will make it known unto you!!...... I promise I will post something more about me and what I have been doing this week sometime!!
