Massage Party Anyone?

Hey so as many of you know I am about ready to graduate from massage therapy school in a few weeks. And i know that you all love to throw parties and who doesn't want a massage right! So I am looking for people who would want to host a Massage party. Here is what would go down, you would get a free massage for hosting and then you would need to find some friends who would want massages at a discounted rate!! You could either do full hour massages which would be $30 or half hour massages for $15!! This is a great thing to do for yourself and your friends to be able to relax and de-stress from the craziness of the holidays!! Also host a couples massage party and enjoy a nice relaxing massage with your spouse!! Let me know if you are interested!!

Provo, UT!!!

Well it has been forever since I actually posted something that updated on my life! Nothing exciting really has happened besides I am now living in Provo and have been here about 2 months now!! and I love it down here!! I am living with my sister Brittany and a girl named Amanda Hull from AZ!! It is so fun living with them!! Mandy served a mission to Korea so she has introduced me to some new food!! She made Kim Chi Chigae, which Kim Chi pretty much made into a soup with Tofu and other spices and ingredients. For those of you who dont know what Kim Chi is pretty much spicy fermented cabbage! It actually doesnt take too bad i kind of enjoyed trying it!! She also made some Tai food called Pad Thai! It is just kinda like a chow mein but Taiwan style I guess!! Anyways it was super spicy and we couldn't figure out why it was so spicy (it was burning our lips it was so spicy) so we looked at the package of chilli powder we put in it and it said Hot so we just figured it was extra hot powder so Mandy went to write on the recipe that it was extra hot and she realized that she put too much in!! It called for a 1/4 teaspoon and she put in 1/4 tablespoon!! so it was extra spicy but pretty good!!

Roommates!! Brittany Me and Mandy!! at our ward talent show!!

So as most if not all of you know one of my best friends Jessica Hutchinson went on a mission to Dallas Texas Spanish Speaking! and the Sunday before she left to go to Dallas we "happened"to both be at the temple at the same time (it was a coinsidence I swear hahah :) when she saw us she was like oh my gosh what are you guys doing here hahah!! it wasn't really out of the ordinary because people go up and walk around temple grounds all the time on Sunday so it wasn't too obvious!! anyways we were able to see each other and talk for a little bit! It was so good to see her and catch up on things even though we write each other like everyweek!! She is now down in Texas and enjoying her time down there! she is getting better at spanish and her letters are so great! she has changed so much already and she has just over a year left!! So here are some pictures from the temple we took!! It was so funny cuz one of her Companions was like oh my heck you even have your camera how crazy!! haha they may or may not have caught on :)

Me and Hermana Hutchinson!! Isnt she such a cute missionary!?!

Mandy and Me!! she is so funny! I love her!!

The Roommates and the Missionary!! :)

Also I am about to start massage therapy school in less than two weeks (5/22) and I am super excited! I have orientation this Friday then everything will be set and ready to go!! I am going to be super busy going to school from 9-5:30 Mon- Thurs every week but I am excited to learn everything!! And the best news is that I will be graduating before Christmas!! Yes thats right I will graduate on December 23rd!! Its so crazy to think that it i will be done by the time Christmas comes!! then after that I am thinking of either trying to get on with a sports team or possibly a cruise ship or a nice resort somewhere warm!! I am excited for all the different places Massage will take me!! But other than that nothing too much has been going on! Just working at sport clips being the receptionist and having some fun!! Oh and I have a calling in the ward and it is to make the Sacrament Meeting Programs!! It is actually kind of stressful because everyone sees it and I am always afraid that I made a mistake on the speakers or something!! The only thing I ahve done wrong is spelled a girls last name wrong but its not too bad I dont think :) Well i hope everyone is enjoying the Spring/winter weather we are having!! I will try and be better at posting things interesting things that happen to me!!

He Lives!!

Ok so I have been really bad at keeping this darn thing updated because I dunno if anyone really looks at it or not but I just had to post a little spiritual thought for the day because church today was AMAZING!! I just love going to church down here in my new ward in Provo because the spirit is so strong every week and there are so many good people who make me want to do better!! Well anyways to start off testimony meeting was great! There were some very powerful testimonies shared and there was one in particular that struck me (made me cry)! This girl in my ward is a convert and she is from a Jehovah witness family and when she made the decision to be baptized her family pretty much disowned her and doesnt talk to her anymore. So today she was saying how she was had been having a hard past few weeks and how all she wanted was just to feel the love and comfort from her family because she missed it so much and she doesn't have that anymore and she just kepting praying to Heavenly Father to give her comfort and strength that she needed and she said that her Dad called her the other night just to tell her he loved her!! I was bawling because it was such a testimony builder to me because I can't even imagine having to choose between the true gospel and my family! I have been so blessed with the family I have and the strong relationship that we have with each other in my immediate family and also my extended family! I love them so much and I felt like I take that relationship for granted after hearing this young sister talk about how she lost hers!!

this is my favorite picture of Christ! I love it!!

Also in Relief Society we talked about Christ and knowing that he truely lives. Our opening Hymn was #136 I Know That My Redeemer Lives, and I felt the spirit so strong as I sang that song and it just testified and reassured me that Christ does live and he knows and loves us and he is there to comfort us when we are in need and he will strengthen us and lift us when we need it most! I challenge everyone to listen to the lyrics of that song and really come to know that He does live! And then our lesson was composed of talks from conference where Apostles and leaders of the church talked about Christ and his life and their testimonies of Christ! To hear and read the Prophets and Apostles bear witness of Christ is so powerful! They are his mouthpiece on earth today!

So I just wanted to share this with everyone and share my testimony about Chrsit and that I KNOW that he lives. That came to this earth with a divine mission and he lived a perfect life for us to follow. He suffered for our sins, sorrows, pains, and heartaches in the Garden on Gethsemane and he sacrificed his life and overcame death so that we too can be resurrected one day to live with our Father in Heaven for Eternity! The atonement is not only for us to repent of our sins but it is there to help us through our hard times and give us the comfort and strength that we need to overcome the trials and adversity that we face! He loves us and cares for us and wants us to be happy in this life. He is there for us to talk to and to go to when we are in need of comfort! It is through him that we receive true comfort and love. He wants to talk to us and to hear from us we just have to do the simple act and fall on our knees each day and pray to him and he will be there for us!! I know if we come to him with questions or concerns that he will answer them in his due time! I challenge anyone of you out there that if you are looking for something more in your life or if you are questioning what you believe or you just need to be reminded that you do know that its true, that if you take Moroni's promise in Moroni 10:3-5, and really pray with sincerity that he will make it known unto you!!...... I promise I will post something more about me and what I have been doing this week sometime!!

Update

Well hello out there!! I dont know if i should introduce myself since i have been a stranger to the blogging world lately!! It has been quite awhile since I have updated this darn thing. I'd like to say that I have been so busy with life and everything that I havent had time but thats not the case!! I have had alot on my mind lately and have never gotten around to it! Well I have officially decided to go to Massage Therapy school at UCMT in Lindon. In about two months I am going to move down to provo and start looking for a job and all that fun stuff... But i am super excited and CANNOT wait!! I am also still coaching basketball! I have had so much fun besides the outcomes of the games! Jk the varsity team has been kind of struggling but we are about a half of a step away from being a good team and getting us some more wins! The girls parents and us coaches are frustrated with the way things have turned out but we are working on it and I know we are on the verge of a breakout!! We are pretty dang fun to watch when we decide to do things right and use our athleticism!! But other than that I've just been subbing on and off (mostly off) haha and trying to figure things out with school, work, the future, ya know all that fun stuff!! so sorry i dont have any cool pictures to post or anything cuz I really dont do that many fun things but if i do something fun I promise to post!! Hope everyone had good holidays and enjoying the new year!!

Massage Therapy!!

Well my latest random tangent of thought is to go to massage therapy of school. I think it would be way fun and everyone would love me right :) haha jk I was thinking the other day that it would be alot more beneficial that teaching. It is something I can do from home, which would be perfect when someday I have kids and want to stay home with them. And with teaching that really isn't an option. Also I could get jobs in alot of different places like cruise ships :), spa's, medical places, etc. I am really looking into it and am really considering it! If any has any tips of advice or warnings that would be great because the colleges are not going to tell me bad things because they want my money right!?!
Well I hope everyone is getting ready for the holiday season and also basketball season!! Cuz I am super excited for basketball. For those of you who dont know I am going to be helping out the girls basketball team here in evanston. I am just going to be a volunteer coach for the JV and varsity levels. I will travel and everything with the team and I am way excited. These girls took 2nd place at the state tournament in volleyball and with some hard work they should be able to make it back to that game!! and hopefully win it this time!! I am super excited and will keep everyone updated on how that goes!!

Joseph and Emma Smith

So yesterday was a fabulous day at church!! Sunday school we had a great lesson about Joseph Smith and the martyrdom. It was such a great lesson and the teacher asked us to think of when we received our testimony of the prophet. It was interesting to hear other people's stories and feel of the spirit! It was one of the best sunday school lessons I have had. It really makes me want to go back to Nauvoo and those other church sites and see where everything happened! I have a strong testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith and I am so thankful that he followed the teachings in James and asked God which church he should join!! What an amazing thing for such a young kid to do!! Here is a video I found that just shows pictures and has prophets talking about Joseph Smith!!
Also how can we not talk about Emma!! She is an amazing woman!! I cant even imagine how she felt as she saw her husband go through all the persecution and trials. She is such an example to me of staying strong even when things are going the way we would like them. And having to bury child after child, would be so hard for anyone! This is also an amazing video that portrays her life. The song has become one of my favorites because the message is awesome! Both the Joseph Smith and Emma movies are incredible and I would highly recommend them to anyone who hasn't seen them! Well thought I would share this bit with you since nothing exciting is happening in my life :) have a great week everyone!!

One day you will!

Last month I was able to see Lady Antebellum in concert. I loved them so much I bought their whole CD. This is unusual for me because I never buy CD's I usually just buy individual songs from iTunes. But as I was listening to their cd, one of the songs really stuck out. It is one of my new favorite songs and it has an awesome message. Its called One Day You Will (click to hear the song) and here are the lyrics-

You feel like you're falling backwards
Like you're slippin' through the cracks
Like no one would even notice
If you left this town and never came back
You walk outside and all you see is rain
You look inside and all you feel is pain
And you can't see it now

[Chorus]But down the road the sun is shining
In every cloud there's a silver lining
Just keep holding on (just keep holding on)
And every heartache makes you stronger
But it won't be much longer
You'll find love, you'll find peace
And the you you're meant to be
I know right now that's not the way you feel
But one day you will

You wake up every morning and ask yourself
What am I doing here anyway
With the weight of all those disappointments
Whispering in your ear
You're just barely hanging by a thread
You wanna scream but you're down to your last breath
And you don't know it yet

But down the road the sun is shining
In every cloud there's a silver lining
Just keep holding on (just keep holding on)
And every heartache makes you stronger
But it won't be much longer
You'll find love, you'll find peace
And the you you're meant to be
I know right now that's not the way you feel
But one day you will

Find the strength to rise above
You will find just what you're made of, you're made of

But down the road the sun is shining
In every cloud there's a silver lining
Just keep holding on (just keep holding on)
And every heartache makes you stronger
But it won't be much longer
You'll find love, you'll find peace
And the you you're meant to be
I know right now that's not the way you feel
But one day you will

One day you will
Oh one day you will

They are very powerful lyrics that gives some encouragement for hard times. I have been thinking alot about life and everything and everyone in my life. This past weekend was the end of my career at working at the ball fields. I have worked there for 5 years and have had the best of times there. The ladies I work with are AMAZING and I am going to miss them. I didn't think that I would ever cry knowing that I would be done working there but as I gave Jacquie a hug I started tearing up because memories from the past years brought tears to my eyes. She really helped me get through alot of hard times that I have faced and I know I couldn't have done it without her.
Yesterday was also my Uncle Mike's birthday. I looked back on all the memories I had with him and his family. I love them and miss him everyday. Songs like this give me strength to move on because trials really do make us stronger and without mine I would not be where I am today. Sometimes its hard to see the sun shining down the road but its so comforting to know that we will find the peace and love that we need. I am so grateful for the family that I have. I honestly think that I have the best family EVER because we have so much love and support for each other and we would do anything for each other.
